How to Host a Contest/Event


Want to host your own contest/event?  This thread will give you a quick explanation on what you need to do.  If you have any questions/comments/concerns regarding the process, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Event Coordinators.


  • Step 1:  You must read the full "Hosting a Contest or Event" section of our rule page located [here].
  • Step 2:  Fill out the application listed below in full with all of the details regarding your event.
  • Step 3:  After review, an event coordinator will contact you back with approval or further instructions if needed.

Please read everything, thank you!



Should any of the following occur we will not hesitate to lock your request:

  • An inactive request / host
  • A request suspected of being fraudulent
  • A request that does not follow our forum rules

If your request was locked, feel free to contact a moderator and we will gladly tell you why.

Helpful Hosting Tips
  • If you decide to have judges for your contest/event, make sure the people you choose are reliable. Any judges taking bribes from other members is the hosts responsibility. 
  • Secure your prizes beforehand and make sure you can provide them before the end of your contest.
  • Be sure to report any suspicious submissions or activity to the Event Moderators. This is to prevent art theft and to investigate any bribery or cheating.
  • You may give prizes such as artwork, IMVU Credits, or cash currency. 
  • You may only host contests/events that includes the whole community with the exception to charities. If you are seeking to have custom made art, please check out our Request Sub-Forum as contests/events are not meant for that.
