  1. Hello, friends!

Rainbow Reaction GIF by Declan McKenna

    Happy coming out day!

  2. Do you ever get a feeling of restlessness? One that seems to come from inside. And you don’t know what’s wrong or why. Has your life turned out the way you’ve always dreamed of? What is it that you’ve dreamed of? But do you ever wonder if those dreams are truly yours? Or were they something you thought you should be doing because that’s just how life is? That voice inside you. It’s your soul. It’s paid its dues. Time to set it free.
  3. Things aren’t easy, are they? But it’s sure easy to tell someone to keep going. It might be even harder to listen to these words when all you want to do is give up. You don’t have to listen. But can you imagine what your life would be like if you just tried one more time? If you just kept going? All the way till you succeeded. Reaching your goals can be the sweetest thing, but don’t forget to make the best out of the journey. Even with all the bumps, holes, and stones on the road. Once you’re there, what’s next?
  4. No one else knows what’s best for you better than you do. Only you know who you truly are. This knowledge can be clouded by the things you’ve been told throughout your life. You may have to unlearn everything you know about the world to find yourself again. Strip away the masks you’ve put on unknowingly. Be honest with yourself. Listen. Your heart speaks.
  5. Are you holding onto bad memories? Holding a grudge? Keeping all the pain inside? Letting go of all the things that have been holding you back and weighing you down will allow you to heal. First and foremost, forgive yourself. And forgive those who have hurt you. That doesn’t mean that what they did wasn’t wrong, but it will set you free. Make space for bigger and better things in your heart and your life. It’s time to let it all go. A new chapter begins once you close the old one.
  6. Have you been holding back? Toning it down? Changing your words or actions? Not everyone will be able to handle your glow. But that doesn’t matter. Fear no more. Hide no more. Radiate the beauty that’s been hidden inside. Smile, because the world is watching.
  7. Kindness goes a long way. It’s more powerful than mean words. Even someone deserves it. Or do they? But a more important question to ask is… Are you kind to yourself? Or are you judging your body, your failures, your thoughts, your choices…? Being kind to yourself is probably one of the hardest things to do, but it’s as essential as breathing or eating. You deserve kindness, love, and everything else you’ve ever dreamed of.
  8. It’s easy to believe that you’re wrong when you’ve been told that you should live a certain way, that you must follow the rules set by society. The way you dress. The things you like. The people you love. None of it is wrong, regardless of what others say or think. Nothing is absolute. Nothing is eternal. You will be the happiest once you realize that being true to yourself is the best way to live. Being yourself is the greatest gift you can ever give to the world. Even if it’s not always appreciated.
  9. I completely forgot I wanted to post things for Pride here too... So here we are, in August, with unfinished thread in my group, and tumbleweeds on my status updates.

    Cheers! :ihide:

Ok, I did finish posting it in my group. :ogoodshi:

  10. They say that hurt people hurt people. No matter what, don’t lose the love you were born with inside your heart. It doesn’t mean you must be quiet or accept any negativity or hatred towards you and those you care about. Just don’t be yet another stepping stone to more misery and pain. Love is more powerful than anything else. And do remember that the one you should love the most is yourself.
  11. HAPPY PRIDE! I did a thing... Enjoy! How often have you felt powerless? How many times have you given your power away? If it’s out of your grasp right now, take it back. Don’t let anyone make you believe that you must obey, that you have no choice. Yes, there are things that must be done, but ripping your blossoms away to suit others isn’t one of them. Your power is yours. Own it. Be it.

  14. Since I write poetry, why not share it here as well.
  15. Here's a funny story... If you dare to read it all!

Not that long ago someone shared on here how they hated their job, but didn't want to quit because they didn't want to disappoint anyone. I told them to quit or at least work on quitting, since they needed to do what's best for them. Something along those lines.

    Why's that funny?

I have been in a job I've started to loathe in the past months and wasn't even thinking of quitting. Yet I told someone else to do that. Yep.

Why couldn't I follow my own advice?

I thought I needed to stay where I was to achieve a very personal and important goal to me. I needed to keep saving money for it and that meant staying in a job that was killing me slowly from inside out and clenching my money every month to make sure I save as much as I can. The end goal was to quit after all was done.

    The problem?

Not even that I've grown to hate my job, but the fact that I thought this was the only way to achieve my goal. I realized that it's been a while since I've felt genuine joy. I spent 6 years in a foreign country on my own. The best decision I ever made, because it changed my life beyond my expectations. But my time here was over. It was way, way overdue. I've been feeling like I needed to leave and go back to Europe, go back home, since about a year ago.

    Now what?

Last week, I resigned, bought a ticket home, and got an invitation for a job interview back home—all in one day. Crossing my hooves that I get that job!

    The lesson?

There is more than one way to achieve my goals. And I don't need to suffer. I can do what I need to do and make my dreams come true.

Not to mention I've missed nature walks, enjoying all four seasons, having four-legged friends, driving, and being more free.

On January 26th 2020, I am going home.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk!

  16. Ever woken up thinking you gotta rush to work, school, or whatever? But then realize that you don't? And it's raining outside? This happened to me and it felt so good that I had to write about it.
