I'm not sure who will relate to this but, if you have an older family that doesn't agree with your artistic/creative career, don't let that stop you from doing what you love. Don't let the comments and the negative feedback get to you if you can help it. It took years and years of "that's not realistic" and "you're not going to make it" before I took art by the horns and actually started doing what I knew I was always meant to do. 

The truth is, even after all these years later? They still don't understand or believe that artwork is something that actually can bring money in, or take you anywhere. 

So my point is, regardless of what you want to do in life...no matter what it is. Don't let the opinions, and comments of others cloud that. Or make you give up on that dream.
