For a sore throat

• gargle with warm salter water for 5 minutes
• and drink a warm tea with honey
• menthol cough drops and honey ones are great for soothing the pain

For a runny nose,

• Try to sit elevated and sleep elevated, to keep the boogies under control
• any saline nose spray works the best or even allergy medicine if you have that
• blowing your noose too much? put Vaseline around the corners of your nostrils to lube it and prevent more skin breakage.
• Can't breathe? Try a nice warm shower, let the steam fill up the room before you enter, the warm steam will help clear your nose up.
