@Ivyx Thank you . I really don't have a specific method lol, but usually when I do it in a big canvas I tend to lean on the painterly approach.

For this portrait I am mostly doing everything on one layer. I would only use a different layer to add stuff like highlight, small detailing or outline and then merge to the original layer.

But normally I would actually use a lot of layers.

I see~ I used to use a lot of layers too but lately I've been painting things on the same layer e.g. the skin+lips together, the hair, clothes. it looks so much softer/blended but also creates issues sometimes if I wanna animate *^* thank you & keep up the beautiful work, always love seeing your art. c:
