hello ! my name is melanie, but most call me melly, mel, meli etc.

i was diagnosed with chronic depression, anxiety and ocd in the earlier stages of my life. 

my depression fluctuates a lot. so i'll have some highs and some lows.

when i am low, i tend to be unmotivated to do much and i remain longer in bed.

however, it's taken a lot of years but i'm with a pretty stable doctor who knows what medication to prescribe so i've been much more healthier, mental health wise.

i'm currently an artist who was self-taught but realized that being self-taught didn't help me grow, so i'm currently taking classes to learn more about the basic fundamentals of art that i never got to learn. i hope that by learning new skills, it'll give me more confidence as an artist and also relieve the unmotivated feelings to finish artwork.

aside from that, i'm in a loving relationship with my boyfriend for a couple years now. he's my rock, and guides me to safety.

i'm an absolute animal lover, especially dogs. i cry (from happiness) at most dog videos. but i also like other types of animals too!

✼ What do you most want people to know about who you are?: i'm a nice person. i can be mean sometimes, but i tend to feel really guilty over it so pls know i have a good heart most of the time. i'm very patient and i'm not one to turn down a conversation!! even though i'm really shy. i'm also sensitive so pls be gentle.

A: in my bed. i tend to sit / lay there when i'm angry or depressed and generally calm down. also, when i have the blankets over me and holding my favorite plushie, i tend to feel calm and protected. 

 

Q: what is something you had a wholesome misunderstanding of as a child? like, hearing a phrase wrong and thinking it meant something totally different in a completely innocent way. 

♥ A: sakimichan@deviantART. she's my top idol in terms of art and i want to know how it feels like to be that successful in the art industry. but there's probably much more artists who make it big, she's the only one i can name off the top of my head that's the most successful.

i love my dog, macy. and sometimes my cat. when she isn't knocking over the stuff off my desk.

i'm very family oriented and spend most of my time with them. my mom is my best friend.
