Post Partum Depression has hit me so hard, and the worst part of it has been letting go of my passions (mainly art). It's also hard to stick with my art when I am constantly comparing my work to other artists'. That being said, if I don't practice, I'll never get better. Here's to hoping that I can put all the negative thoughts behind me and get back to doing what I love.

Returning from almost a year long hiatus!
I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on July 31st, who I named Ruto. She’s pretty much taken up all of my free time (and sleep) so I haven’t had much of an opportunity or energy to draw for some time up until now. Here’s to hoping I actually stick with honing my craft instead of dropping off the face of the (virtual) planet again!

I dont think you should! I see great potential in your art--especially in the last status update you did.
It always seems like the answer is to give up whenever you're not producing what you like. I think it's always best to just pause on what you're doing that isnt turning out how you want and try something new or something for yourself. Its kind of crazy how many unfinished pieces I have.
What haven't you practiced doing yet? What are some characters that you really like that you could do fan art of and have fun with? Different angles are also very challenging but opens up new ideas and skills. Find your inspiration, your styles, try different brushes and colors. What inspires you? For me, Pinterest is the best place to see a bunch of different aspects and styles that helps me form an idea of what I want to do and where I want to go with my art.
Art is definitely a journey and, as I'm sure many artists will agree with me on this, a struggle. We are all here for eachother as well, so reaching out for help and guidance is always supported in this community (from my history of becoming an artist I do have to thank many artists and close friends who have helped me so much).

Thank you for the encouraging words. I just bought a new tablet recently, a display, and I guess it's kind of taken a toll on my self esteem seeing how the quality of my art kind of dwindled. Without a display I feel like my art was sort of looking how I wanted it to, but I guess with the mixture of the new equipment and hiatus I just kind of went back to square one. I get a mental image of what I want to draw, what colors I want to use, but it never really translates to my canvas, which is also kind of disheartening.
A lot of my problem is, is when I'm drawing (I use Krita, not sure if it matters) I don't know how to use the software to get like, less flat or saturated color. I'm not really sure how to use it to where I can make things more life like, and less stark color if that makes any sense. I just want to get back to my old art, I'm not happy with the content I've created so far with this new tablet, even if I do say I am. I just want to draw like me again.

” emojis on your posts when you’re still learning and/or rusty.
I used to to draw a lot better than I do now with my new tablet, I never thought drawing on a screen would be harder than looking at my monitor, or that it would have such an impact on my experience level. I’ll get back to how I drew before, it’s just gonna take a little time that’s all...
First photo is from what I consider the “peak” of my art on my previous non-screen graphics tablet, and right is with the new tablet with the screen. I’m really embarrassed.

ah dang i have an alliance but my main is horde uwu hmu sometime if you ever are looking for someone to game with though! my boyfriend and i play together but we are always looking for more to people to play with

I was actually thinking about making a Highmountain Tauren or a Nightborne since I just unlocked them recently. The primary reason why I don't play Horde as much is because I don't know anyone that does, lol. I'd love to play with you guys sometime! Let me know!

Finally back after a long, unexpected hiatus.
As you probably know (or didn't, idk) I became homeless in September and had been living on the street here until this past Thursday.
I'm sorry to all my friends that I never got to message back, and I'm sorry to all of the people that may have tagged me in things I never got to see.
I missed you guys, and I'm very happy and excited to be diving back into art, which is my biggest passion. I look forward to reconnecting with you all again and picking up where we left off, before.
