Our Summer Charity Auction is finally here and open for bids! Come take a look at all the wonderful pieces and the full list of charities we're raising money for!

Here we are with another sneak peek at our gorgeous submissions, with only five more days until the start of the auction! Take a look at @Crima's stunning portrait, what they had to say about their process, and how they made the theme come alive.
"Hmm, the main idea came from the ref used for the background. I loved the idea of the setting sun over the already darkened sky and reflecting over the sea and it kind of developed from there. The dark wine colored hair - because I wanted it to reflect the colors from the background better. "
We still have three more charities to showcase, so keep any eye out for more posts detailing the charities this auction will donate to! Our charity auction will run from July 21- August 3, and our Midnight Summer/After-Dark Summer themed pieces will raise money for six different charities!

Only six more days until our charity auction, and we've been getting some gorgeous pieces from our auctioneers! Take a look at the beautiful collab @Cain & @Crima finished, what they had to say about their process, and how they made the theme come alive.
"Firstly, we'd like to begin by expressing our appreciation to being able to work together, to support the cause. The collaboration idea for this event was a wonderful one!
In the beginning, when we started, we had no idea which direction we were going to go about it, as we are both open people but it was indeed what made the collab flow as naturally as it did. Crima had a few creative ideas in mind and Cain, feeling inspired, was able to add to them in his unique way. The Yokai Festival theme was what spoke to the both of us with it's mysterious yet exciting atmosphere that surrounds this event. We created a character that we thought could be seen attending it. We poured over dozens of references from various sources and photographs. Crima put all of what we came with into a sketch, then created the lineart and gray-scaled it. The result was what we had envisioned. This gave Cain the ability to see the colors that would fit the mood. After completing the colors, he handed the piece to Crima where she added the last finishing touches. We are excited to finally share this with the rest of you and hope that you'll be as well!"
Stay tuned for our sneak peek of @Crima's solo piece tomorrow, and how she incorporated the theme into her art!

EESI is a US centered organization that focuses on addressing climate change and advancing 'innovative policy solutions that set us on a cleaner, more secure and sustainable energy path'.
They view climate change as one of society's most serious environmental problems and believe that:
- clean, efficient energy,
- changes in agriculture,
- forestry and land use management,
- sustainable buildings,
- and improving both transportation and communities as a whole
can reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that impact our environment. They approach this through policymaker and stakeholder education, coalition building, policy development, and technical assistance to utility-based energy efficiency programs.

Water.org is an international organization that focuses on providing access to safe water by giving small, affordable loans to families who need access to affordable financing to make household water and toilet solutions a reality.
-
The system is pay-it-forward, so the money that is repaid is lent out to another family that needs it.
-
Their loan repayment rates are around 99%, with an average loan size of $362 for families opting to finance long-term solutions.
-
They believe that the loans give families a choice, whether it is a well or something else is up to them.
Water.org believes this solution works better than going into communities and, for example,
building a well which often malfunctions or gets contaminated and gets too costly to maintain.
