Cintiq's have so many cables. They're not very practical if you don't have a dedicated spot for your art.
Ah well.. we'll see how it goes.

so bloody relieved inktober is over.
I'll look back on that sketch book in a years time and laugh at my misery.

I don't want to brag or anything or make anyone feel bad but something really exciting just happened to me and i'm still in shock really.
My sister just bought me a new iphone and i'm??? so grateful.
Bless her. I don't know what to say really i'm just excited.

So my tablet has gone off for repair. The bummer? They have to wipe it before they can work on it.
Had a bunch of animations on it, one completed, which totalled 6 months of work.
KILL ME.
Back up your computers. I don't care if you bought it today. You can't trust these things.

I bought kim jung gi's new drawing course and let me tell you it's not worth $200.
He doesn't really give any kind of tutorial?? he just suggests what you should practise..
The titles to the 'lectures' are misleading.
There's a 26 minute video called 'drawing characters in perspective' and he spends the whole time drawing a man in armour, briefly mentioning perspective lines.
The camera often focuses on his face instead of what he's drawing. Like the one time he actually explained something, the camera is zoomed in on his face instead of his demonstration.
I'm triggered to say the least.
Aaron Blaise is releasing a perspective tutorial for $24 dollars and quite frankly you'll learn more from that than anything said in this $200 lecture.
Don't get me wrong, i love kim jung gi, i think he's a great artist but i feel conned to say the least.

No I mean like if you wanted to you could call that picture finished. It looks fine to me! I’m sure there’s little touches you wanted to do but if you don’t feel like doing them, you can call the picture done haha. So yeah don’t scrap it lol

Sometimes it’s okay to take a break from art, it can be specially draining because we put a part of ourselves in each piece and often times, we want everything to be perfect. Remember that art is fun, painting doesn’t have to be perfect, try having fun with it as much as you can and hopefully it will help. I wish you the best of luck, if you’re tired just take a break and come back to your art later
