    I did a thing, my husband and I decided to go visit some dog shelters today and we fell in love with this little girl and decided to bring her home.       @Alismora honestly that is ridiculous, many dogs do more then fine in small yards and with daily walks and being allowed inside with you as well, they don’t want much else in life. They also need to realize that taking weeks to process an application has a serious down side for the dog because most of the dogs in a lot of these shelters are terrified, lonely and don’t cope well, so a few weeks can feel like a lifetime to them. We also don’t even have a fence in our yard yet and she did not say anything about that. Are there maybe other shelters within your area that may be more reasonable with their adoption process? 

      @Spirits thank you! We could not be happier with her, when she first jumped out of the cage she went straight into my arms and was shaking a little and I could tell she just wanted to be out of there. On the drive home she fell asleep in my arms and I don’t think I have ever seen a puppy settle into a new home so easily like her, she had her bubble bath and blow dry and now she’s just taking up my bed lol. We think we are going to call he Luna :blove:

      @Alismora well I know some places are more strict, most places around here at least require proof of home ownership or a letter from your landlord but the shelter in our county was closed so we went to the next one over and I called first and asked if I need to bring my house deed or any paperwork and she said they just take your word for it, and I just filled out the paperwork and I had to say whether I ever have abused any animals things like that and my background and apparently they just decide on the spot whether to approve it. It was really easy they gave her the microchip right in front of us and booked her desexing and sent us on our way. I'm not sure if me being a vet nurse had anything to do with it because I explained my background, though the shelter was seriously over crowded so maybe they just need them gone quick

    Quick update: I’m currently recovering from my back pain that started on Sunday night. I’m already medicated so all I need now is rest! Just wanted to let you guys know that replies will be slow since I’m using my phone to check gasr and anything art related will be done most likely in the weekend, I will be all good by then, hopefully!
