I noticed last night while trying to draw on my tablet that the pen was extremely laggy and at times stopped working completely, and the buttons on my pen and tablet stopped working at times as well. Does anyone know a way to fix this (my tablet is a huion h640p) I've already tried uninstalling the huion drive and restarting my laptop.
Maybe it's time I get a new tablet she's been through a lot any decently affordable recommendations?

I'm not sure if you have found a fix, but there are a few things you can try. Since you already tried the driver, it could be your PC OS needing an update, or your graphics driver. Finally, I read someone on Reddit say they downloaded an older version of the driver from Huion and it started working again. Those are the only suggestions I have. It could be time for a new tablet as you mention!
I use a Wacom Intuos Draw, and after getting use to it I quite like it. It's also less than $100
Here is the newer model: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wacom-intuos-drawing-tablet-small-with-3-bonus-software-included-black/6196636.p?skuId=6196636

I tried everything suggested (besides download the older version of the huion driver bc i can't find it) and my tablet is still lagging and doing the same things. There's a light by the hot keys that is supposed to turn on permanently when the pen is on the tablet but it keeps flickering which I think is the cause of the lag. It might be a wiring issue or something do with the usb because everytime I plug it in it makes the little noise signaling it has been plugged in directly followed by the sound indicating it is unplugged even though it is not.
I have been thinking of trying wacom for some time now so I'll probably do a switch pretty soon, thank you for your suggestion and all the help it really means a lot !!

Oh wow, ok! It sounds like maybe it's something with your USB cable in this case. I think the cables are cheap, but if you don't think it's worth it, I highly recommend Wacom tablets. Only time I've experienced trouble is when there are software updates. Good luck hun! I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your tablet
