  5. IMVU is an online virtual world where members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat with people around the world, and create virtual goods to sell in the IMVU catalog. IMVU Credits is a popular currency that many members of the AH community are familiar with. We decided to make a guide for those who are not familiar with the steps and/or want to use this as their transaction. Two Versions of IMVU IMVU Next: A browser-based experience where you can access a few activities of IMVU on any computer without the need of downloading the client. IMVU Client: To enjoy the full virtual world experience of what IMVU have to offer, it is recommended to download the client. Most of the following steps will require you to be on the classic IMVU webpage. If you do not know how to get to the classic IMVU site, click on your image in the top right corner, scroll all the way to the bottom, and click on "IMVU Classic Website". How to Sign up for an IMVU Account If you do not have an account on IMVU and wish to make one, the following steps will help you get started*: Go to the IMVU website, www.imvu.com, and click on “GET STARTED” to begin your journey to the virtual world. Select a gender to proceed on to the avatar customization page. There is a variety of options for you to select and will be more once you made your account. After customizing your avatar, fill in the necessary information. You will need an username, working email address, password and date of birth. When that is all completed, click on “CREATE ACCOUNT” to create your IMVU account. *Please note: You must be at least 13 years old to use IMVU. Verifying Your Account Remember to verify your email address or this will prevent you from purchasing and transferring credits. If you did not receive an email from IMVU to verify your email address. you can do it manually. First go to your account settings on the IMVU webpage. Under “Account Tools”, you should see “Change email preferences”. Click that and it should take you to a page where you can send yourself a verification link. Follow the instructions in your email to complete the process. Purchasing IMVU Credits IMVU makes it really simple and easy for their users to purchase credits. It is recommended to buy your credits on the IMVU classic webpage and not on IMVU Next. Hover over “Credits” at the top on the IMVU webpage and click on “Buy Credits”. Select the amount of credits you wish to buy and the preferable payment option. Follow the steps on the next page to complete your transaction. You should receive your credits immediately*. *Sometimes, the payment method you choose, or the product(s) you decide to purchase can trigger a security alert to IMVU, causing your purchase to be placed on a 24hr hold for verification purposes. If you do not receive your credits within 24 hours, contact IMVU asap via their billing department. We cannot provide support for IMVU related transactions. Sending IMVU Credits There are three ways to send credits: direct transfer, help ticket, and live chat. All options require you to be on the classic IMVU webpage instead of IMVU Next. Direct Transfer Go to your account settings, located at the top of the webpage. Scroll down until you see “Credits Summary” on the right hand column. There will be three options, “Buy | Give | Earn”, click on “Give” to proceed. Enter the necessary information: your password, the name of the IMVU account you’re sending the credits to, and the amount of credits. Click on “Give” after you are done filling it out and click on “confirm” to finish your transaction. If it says you have reached your maximum credit limit, it is recommended to submit a help ticket to send the credits. Help Ticket Click “help” that is located at the top of the IMVU webpage to be sent to the IMVU Community discussion board. Click "Contact Us" in the menu bar. Click "Submit a Case". The title of the ticket can be "Transferring Credits" and "General Support" for the category. Enter the amount of credits and the IMVU username of the person you wish to send them to in the ticket description box. Live Chat If you’re a VIP member, you can transfer credits immediately through live chat. Following the similar steps as above, you would select "Start a Chat" instead of "Submit a Case". Tell them you wish to transfer a specific amount of credits to the IMVU Username of the person you're sending them to. They will make the transaction right away and your credits will be transferred with a confirmation.
  6. Opening a PayPal Account There are two types of PayPal accounts: Personal and Business. Personal accounts are what majority of our users will need. This lets you receive and send money as Goods & Services, which is the option all artists are expected to use according to PayPal Policy. Business accounts are for users who have a legitimate home or office business, along with a business tax ID, and accept physical payments for their goods and services as well as online payments. Most of our users who just sell artwork digitally would not need a business account. You can always upgrade your account to a business account at a later date if your plans change. Both accounts are free to sign up for. How to Sign up for a PayPal Account: Go to the PayPal website and click "Sign Up" at the top of the page. Select the type of account you would like to open, "Personal" or "Business" and click "Next". Provide your email address, create a password and click "Next". Fill out your personal information and click "Agree" and "Create Account". Information Needed to Sign up for a Personal Account: First and last name Address Phone number Email address* You must use your real information to sign up for Paypal. If you use false information for any reason, you can lose your account due to security reasons. Remember, you must be 18 years or older to use PayPal. If you are under the age of 18, you can have a parent or guardian create a PayPal student account for you. More information regarding that can be found here, https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/student. *You will be asked to verify your email later and will receive all notifications of money sent or received, so it is best to use one that is secure and that you have access to. Getting Verified Verification provides an additional benefit: it lifts the withdrawal limit allowing you to withdraw more funds from your PayPal balance to your bank account. It also allows buyers and sellers to trust you more. Verification Options Linking and confirming your bank account* Linking a Debit/Credit card Providing your social security number After you complete at least two of those three options, your account will be verified automatically. Whenever you send money to another user, the attached receipt will list that you are verified right next to your name. You do not need to be verified to send or receive money, however verification greatly increases the usability of PayPal. *Linking and confirming your bank account can take 3-5 business days depending on your bank. The quickest way to verify your account is to link a debit/credit card and provide your social security number (SSN). How do I send money/make a payment? There are two ways to make payments to our artists via PayPal. These are the only approved ways of sending payments as they come with PayPal’s buyer and seller protection if done properly. Using PayPal correctly to make payments will help minimize scams. Option 1 (highly recommended) Artist sends an invoice to the buyer with the amount owed via email address. Click Send & Request at the top of the page. Under Request Money click “Create Invoice”. Hover over “Create” and choose “Invoice”. Enter the required information and hit send. The invoice option is highly recommended due to the fact that it greatly decreases the chance that an artist will receive a false chargeback if the transaction is good. Artists can send their terms of services along with any other information along with the invoice, and both parties will receive verification of transaction. We highly encourage all artists to adopt this practice and frown upon users who use direct transfers instead. This is the safest option to collect and send payments for everyone due to PayPal's various protection policies for both buyers and sellers. Option 2 (not recommended unless necessary) Buyer sends payment to artist via email address or PayPal.me* link using the “Pay for goods or services”** option. Click Send & Request at the top of the page. Select “Pay for goods or services.” Enter the email address or mobile number to whom you are sending money. Enter the amount you want to send and click “Continue.” Review and confirm the information on the screen and click “Send Money Now.” Both the artist and buyer will receive email receipts of the transaction and will have them listed under the “Activity” section on the summary page of your PayPal account. *For more information about PayPal.me and how to set up your own personal payment link, go here: https://www.paypal.me/ **You will always use the “Pay for goods or services” option when making a payment to an artist. Important Notes Under no circumstances should a seller accept payments from buyers via the "friends & family" option, and a buyer shouldn't send payments to artists via the "friends & family" option. This voids both the Buyer and Seller protection PayPal offers in case something goes wrong after the transaction and drastically increases your chance of being scammed with a false chargeback/refund request. You cannot ask your buyers to pay for the fees associated with accepting PayPal as a payment option. This is against PayPal's TOS and can cause you to lose your PayPal account along with any money currently associated with it, along with being banned from ever using PayPal again on a different account. If you are seen asking buyers to send additional funds or to use a fee calculator to send more than the asking price to cover the additional fees, the buyer(s) can report you to PayPal, even if the transaction is done off-site. Do not put your account or money at risk by avoiding policies and fees.
  7. All content created on Art Haven has the option for users to leave a reaction, whether it be a post in the gallery, a topic in the forum, or a status update. You can react to any applicable content by hovering your cursor over the grey heart icon, located in the bottom right-hand side of most content, and choosing the reaction you would like to leave. The reaction icon will update to the reaction you choose. Any reactions left by users will be displayed to the left of the reaction button. Users who have an Elite Membership can view who left a reaction on their content. Reactions are the building blocks to our reputation system. There are three reaction types that have the possibility to raise or lower your overall reputation. A positive reputation is any amount of reputation points above 0. A negative reputation is any amount of reputation points below 0. There are varying ranks as your reputation grows in either direction. Your reputation can be seen on your profile or next to your username and display photo on all content you post, or by hovering over your display photo and viewing your mini-profile card. Green is reflective of a positive community reputation and red is reflective of a negative community reputation. Reaction Types Positive Reactions Positive reactions are reactions that grant the author of the content being reacted to a single reputation point, increasing the author’s total reputation. If you love what a user has posted, you can leave a heart reaction called a ‘like’ on their post, and this will increase their reputation by one point. Alternatively, if you find a post funny, you can react with a laughing face called ‘haha’ which also gives the user a reputation point. Like the previous two, reputation points can also be gained with the reactions ‘wink’ and the star, ‘thanks’. The last reaction which will give the author a positive reputation point is the ‘upvote’ reaction, a green circle with a white arrow pointing upwards. Neutral Reactions Some reactions have no impact on the author’s community reputation. This means that even if you leave a reaction, the user will not gain or lose any reputation points. These reactions include the ‘giveaway token’ which is a red and yellow gift box, a ‘sad’ face, ‘confused’ and ‘angry’. You can leave these reactions to easily express how the content makes you feel without worry about the effect on the author’s reputation. Negative Reaction The ‘downvote’ reaction is the only reaction where the author of the post will lose one community point. This function is for the purpose of freedom of expression on Art Haven and should not be abused to make anyone in the community feel unsafe or targeted. Alternatively, receiving downvotes on your content should not be seen as an attack, but rather a disagreement. Giveaway Reaction Giveaways on Art Haven are a way for artists to give back to the community they are apart of. You may see an Art Haven user hosting a giveaway of their own, whether it be for an art piece, Elite membership on Art Haven, or something else entirely. Usually, the user will ask everyone who would like to be involved in the giveaway to react to the post with the ‘giveaway token’. When the giveaway is over, the user can either view the users who reacted with a giveaway token, if they have Elite membership, or ask an Art Haven staff member for their assistance in creating a list, and then draw a winner. Daily Limits Every user on Art Haven has a daily limit of reactions they can give. Newbies have a limit of 15 reactions per day, whereas members have 50 reactions per day. If you feel that you need an increased limit, you can leave 100 reactions per day with an Elite membership. If you encounter the error message “Sorry, you cannot add any more reactions today.”, that means you have hit your daily reaction limit on your account. Do not worry, you will be able to react to content again the next calendar day. These limits are in place to prevent member reputation manipulation via alternative accounts. We re-evaluate these limits periodically based on community activity to determine whether or not the limit needs to be raised or lowered. Popular Content Content with several reactions will receive the status of a ‘popular’, highlighting the content and adding a popular badge to the top-right corner. Seeing content with a popular status means a lot of members within the community liked what was posted or the content was considered important.

I don't really know what you're on about, but I'm jealous and my chest hurts looking at this piece. Like damn, okay. Not even sure what to say positively about it because where do I begin, where do I finish?

Not gonna lie, I love the face in this style too and just the?? Simplicity with the major impact of it? The clothes, the well, the choice of the flower crown, even the colours just tie in really nicely together. But yes, the flowy hair is a definite positive too. :^)

    Q&A

@Latex, always glad to see my misery brings others joy. T_T Lowkey happy that you found it funny though. A) When I broke my arm. The scar itself is just sigh to the point I wear long sleeves all the time to cover it up. It's kind of like a 8cm long, jagged line from just above my elbow to just below plus four other circle-ish shaped scars around it. They kind of look like if skin was burnt for a prolonged period of time - or if you imagine dead skin being put back onto a body because that's pretty much what happened. Somehow, it's lighter than the rest of my pale, white skin. It's not on the inside nor outside of my elbow, it's on the side of my... uh elbow arm bit that's most visible. :-) I got it when I was like two after falling off of a bench when I went to lean on a nonexistent bench back. I've repeated the same lame story so many times that I can no longer keep the grimace of annoyance off of my face when people ask about it. Q) Tell me one feature you really love about yourself, whether it's personality based or appearance orientated.

    Q&A

    A) God. A) Spiders. I don't even know why at this point, I know it's completely irrational but my body spasms even when I see a picture of one. It's so dumb, it makes me question the purpose of my existence more than anything else. Q) What's your biggest regret and what would you do if you could go back in time to change things (if you had to)?
  18. Love your art, you should definitely set up a premade or customs shop soon so people can buy!

    Q&A

A: Figuring out if I actually want to go to university and be neck deep in debt, or if it's just something my parents instilled in me to be "of a higher standard". If I do want to go, what course am I going to go into? Q: Would you take the chance to remove pain from existence itself and why?

    Introductions!

Hey guys. I'm William and I turn 18 in August. I've been living in England all my life if holidays are excluded. I currently share a place with a friend and I have a few pets scattered all over the world (Yorkshire Terrier in England, sea turtle, three rabbits and German Shepard in India, and two kittens in Italy). Unfortunately, I have yet to come into contact with any pandas - my favourite animal in the whole ****ing world. I'm still in college doing Biology, Chemistry, Further Maths, Mathematics and Physics as A levels. Really, I have no idea what I want to go into yet, it ranges from Engineering to Law with many things in between so I'm pretty confused. I tend to leave things until the last minute and I usually feel pretty awkward speaking with others unless we're close - even then I can find it difficult to be sociable. I do (or did before my Art GCSE) like making art, but I've gotten out of the habit of it and I can't do digital (yet) since I don't have any of the equipment. I'm here to support other artists and snag a few pieces up for myself. Thank you so much for reading this far!
  21. Welcome back, hope you've had a great holiday! Your art is cute and I'm having fun scrolling through your shop.
